Immerg\u00e9 dans le parc naturel de la vall\u00e9e du Guadiana<\/p><\/div>\n<p>La visite commence \u00e0 M\u00e9rtola, un charmant village perch\u00e9 sur une colline au-dessus du fleuve Guadiana, dans l&#039;Alentejo.<\/p>\n<p>Autrefois capitale du puissant empire maure d&#039;alors, M\u00e9rtola est aujourd&#039;hui un \u00ab village mus\u00e9e \u00bb, o\u00f9 des couches d&#039;histoire peuvent \u00eatre d\u00e9voil\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Vous explorerez les rues \u00e9troites du village, longerez les collines pour contempler les plaines vallonn\u00e9es, les \u00e9l\u00e9vations de quartzite et les vall\u00e9es. Rivi\u00e8re Guadiana formant la pi\u00e8ce ma\u00eetresse de la promenade et traversant des vergers d&#039;amandiers, de figuiers et d&#039;oliviers.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Bien que plus petit que M\u00e9rtola, ce village pittoresque \u00e9tait \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9poque un grand port ph\u00e9nicien.<\/p>\n<p>De l&#039;autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la marge, nous pouvons voir le village espagnol voisin de San Lucar, avec qui Alcoutim partage une longue histoire de commerce et de contrebande. Ces souvenirs sont honor\u00e9s par la statue du contrebandier, que l&#039;on peut voir au quai d&#039;Alcoutim.<\/p>\n<p>Le parc naturel de la vall\u00e9e du Guadiana est un \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me riche. Habitat pour de nombreux oiseaux de proie et diverses esp\u00e8ces de passereaux, il est abondant dans les bois de ch\u00eanes-li\u00e8ges, quelques bois de ch\u00eanes, de vastes zones de cistes et des plantations pluviales.
