De rivier de Douro heeft een geweldige sfeer<\/p><\/div>\n

Porto, gelegen aan de rivier de Douro, is de hoofdstad van het noorden en de op \u00e9\u00e9n na grootste stad van Portugal. Het is nu een Werelderfgoed en is al eeuwenlang het centrum van de portwijnhandel.<\/p>\n

Guimar\u00e3es is een prachtige middeleeuwse stad en de geboorteplaats van Portugal. Het was hier dat de oprichting van een natie begon. Het mooie Vila do Conde ligt aan de kust en staat bekend om de bouw van traditionele houten vissersboten en het maken van kantklossen.<\/p>\n

Miranda Do Douro is een charmant middeleeuws stadje, en vanaf hier lopen onze wandelingen door dorpen waar mensen nog steeds een oude manier van leven volgen, nog steeds de oude Mirandese taal spreken, die door de eeuwen heen is bewaard gebleven.<\/p>\n

Onze wandelingen leiden ons door het karakteristieke landschap van wijngaarden die de druiven leveren. Hier bezoeken we Lamego, een prachtige oude stad, rijk aan geschiedenis en cultuur en vol charme. Het heiligdom van Nossa Senhora dos Rem\u00e9dios is een van de grootste barokke bouwwerken in Europa.<\/p>\n
