Onze basis is de kosmopolitische stad Lagos, op korte afstand van een schat aan afgelegen stranden en ongerepte onverharde wegen, perfect voor enthousiaste ontdekkingsreizigers.<\/p>\n

De routes tonen diverse landschappen, aan de kust en in het binnenland, en zijn het resultaat van uitgebreide lokale kennis.<\/p>\n

Aantrekkelijke stad aan het water van Lagos, een belangrijke Romeinse nederzetting<\/p><\/div>\n

U kunt zelfstandig reizen om de gevarieerde landschappen van de West-Algarve te ontdekken, van vulkanische heuvels tot dramatische kalkstenen hellingen, van slaperige plattelandsdorpjes tot bruisende kuststeden, van vissersgemeenschappen tot groene heuvels waar niemand te zien is.<\/p>\n

De stad Lagos kijkt uit op een grote baai en het fijne zand van Meia Praia Beach. Vanaf hier vertrokken de galjoenen van de Discoveries, en het was ook een schuilplaats voor kapers zoals Sir Francis Drake.<\/p>\n

Een prachtige muur grenst aan de waterkant en de oude stad is gevuld met kleine boetiekjes, restaurants en een schat aan erfgoed en culturele bezienswaardigheden.
\nZelfs tijdens de wintermaanden is het weer mild, waardoor dit een heerlijke regio is om te wandelen en andere natuuractiviteiten te ondernemen.<\/p>\n

\"Oranges

Sinaasappelen in de boomgaard van de West-Algarve. Niets is lekkerder dan een vers geplukte sinaasappel, bijna recht uit de boom.<\/p><\/div>\n

Landinwaarts, in de weelderig groene heuvels, zie je een manier van leven die in veel Europese landen is verdwenen, draaiend rond de seizoenen. In de smalle geplaveide straatjes van charmante bergdorpjes, met witgekalkte huizen, vind je slaperige caf\u00e9s en een rustige manier van leven.<\/p>\n

\"Lagos

Lagos Fortress is een charmant oud fort met kleine wachttorens en een oude houten ophaalbrug. Het ligt aan het stadsstrand.<\/p><\/div>\n

De kust is wild, overgegeven aan de kracht van de Atlantische Oceaan, maar met een verhaal dat ook heel sterk verbonden is met de natuur.<\/p>\n

In de monding van de Alvor kunt u bij eb de lokale bevolking zien zeevaren, vergezeld van reigers, lepelaars en andere vogelsoorten.<\/p>\n

Welk deel van de West-Algarve u ook leidt, u vindt er vriendelijke mensen, uitstekende lokale wijnen en heerlijk eten, van de verse vangst van de dag tot hartige gerechten op smaak gebracht met kruiden.<\/p>\n
