Nationaal Park Peneda-Ger\u00eas is een prachtige omgeving van uitzonderlijke schoonheid.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Peneda-Ger\u00eas, opgericht in 1971 om de natuurlijke wonderen van de regio, de traditionele lokale gebruiken en levensstijlen te behouden, is het enige nationale park van Portugal. Een verleidelijke mix van wildernis en beschaving, het park heeft een dramatische en adembenemende topografie. Het terrein is rotsachtig, ruig en bergachtig, de biodiversiteit is ongelooflijk en verbindt endemische soorten zoals de wilde pony (garranos), ree\u00ebn (op het logo van het park) en de bedreigde Iberische wolf.<\/p>\n<p>De regio heeft een rijk historisch en cultureel erfgoed met megalithische en Romeinse sporen (kastelen, bruggen, molens, dammen, ovens, enz.). Kleine oude kerken en andere religieuze bouwwerken stippelen het landschap uit. In de Peneda-vallei daalt een van onze wandelingen langs de rivier de Peneda naar een iconisch pelgrimsoord met een opmerkelijk heiligdom en een grote trap.<\/p>\n<p>Je vindt er clusters van schilderachtige graanschuren gebouwd van graniet die nog steeds worden gebruikt door lokale boeren om ma\u00efs op te slaan. Dit nationale park bevat enkele van de mooiste en meest gevarieerde landschappen van het hele land<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Traditionele kleine bergdorpjes, die eeuwenlang onveranderd zijn gebleven, zijn ook gebouwd met graniet en gaan naadloos over in de majestueuze, ruige grijze bergen van het natuurpark Peneda-Ger\u00eas, die oprijzen uit de groenste landschappen. De Ger\u00eas-lelie, een blauwviolette bloem die endemisch is in het park, besprenkelt het landschap in de lente en biedt een natuurlijk schouwspel.<\/p>\n<p>Hier lijkt de tijd stil te hebben gestaan, maar de bergen zijn springlevend. De lokale bewoners leven nog steeds van het land, de graangewassen en het fokken van het prachtige langhoornige vee (je ziet ze vrij door de straten dwalen). De harmonieuze co-existentie van mens en natuur is de sleutel tot de charme van het park.<\/p>\n<p>Bergvoedsel is pretentieloos, substantieel en heerlijk. Combineer het met een glas (of een kom, traditioneel in deze regio!)
